Shawn Higley was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree (Civil Engineering) in 1993 and a Master of Science degree (Groundwater Resources) in 1996 by the University of Wyoming. The title of his Master’s Thesis was “Numerical Simulations and Groundwater Storage Relationships Within the Muddy Creek Aquifer System”. In 1995, Shawn joined the Wyoming State Engineer’s Office as a Commissioner & Hydrographer for the Little Laramie River near Laramie, Wyoming where he managed irrigation demand on a highly regulated river system. Shawn also assisted the Wyoming SEO in the development and QA of their on-line water rights database.
In 1996, he joined WWC Engineering in Sheridan, Wyoming as an Associate Engineer working on civil and water resources related projects. In 1999, Shawn took on the role as a Civil/Water Resources Department Manager, accepting the responsibility for all civil and water resources related projects within northern Wyoming and southern Montana. In 2004, he was promoted to a Principal in the company and to serve as the Helena Branch Manager where he still works today. Shawn is currently the Vice President of WWC, a senior member of the WWC Board of Directors and serves as the Principal in charge of all WWC Montana operations. Shawn is a practicing Civil Engineer and Hydrologist.
