Mining

Professional mine services have been a specialty of WWC’s since we formed, one year after enactment of the 1977 Surface Mine Control and Reclamation Act. Since then WWC professionals have been working with the largest and most progressive surface coal mines in the world, helping them with infrastructure design, permitting, construction engineering and mining and reclamation plans that comply with the state and federal regulations that followed SMCRA. Most of these mines are in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming and Montana, but WWC has also provided consulting services for mines in Colorado, Texas, Louisiana and even Australia.
