Two WWC projects have won the Wyoming Engineering Society President's Project of the Year Award:
Three WWC projects have won Runner Up to the Wyoming Engineering Society President’s Project of the Year Award:
WWC staff members have won the Wyoming Mining Association Professional of the Year Award 4 times.
WWC was awarded a Partner in Environmental Excellence by the Jacobs Ranch Mine in 1997.
WWC won the 1997 Excellence in Surface Mining Award for the reclamation of the PSO Mine No. 1, operated by Ash Creek Mining Co.
The 26-SR-1 Reservoir, a sediment pond designed by WWC, was the first settleable-solids reservoir permitted and built in Wyoming and was awarded the the Excellence in Mining Award by the Office of Surface Mining in 1989 for unique environmental and habitat considerations which were incorporated into its design.
Doyl Fritz was named the 2001 Wyoming Eminent Engineer by the Wyoming Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi
